VMware fling team provide us HA Simulator.So what it does do?it will provide you the scenario what happen when host down with specified DRS rules and which VM’s will be affected.

How to run it?

You need to locate drmdump file which will be located in

vCenter server appliance: /var/log/vmware/vpx/drmdump/clusterX/

vCenter server Windows 2003: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\Logs\drmdump\clusterX\

vCenter server Windows 2008: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\Logs\drmdump\clusterX\

1.Visit hasimulator.VMware.comlogo

2.Click on simulate now

3.upload the DRM file,you get out the result.
