Recover the resource pool after disable the DRS

Hi All,

Today,I want out the KB (2032893) which helps you if mistakenly try to disable the DRS in the cluster.Whenever you want to disable the DRS in the cluster, make sure you are disable from the Webclient to get the prompt to save the snapshot of our resource pool.

  1. Login to vCenter via Webclient.
  2. Turn off the vSphere DRS

P1

3. It will prompt you to warning that it you are going to remove the resource pool. And it says that vCloud Director managed resource pool cannot restore. But raise a case with VMware to restore incase you want to restore the resource pool which run in vCD environment.Mostly they will pull from DB,i missed to get the information.P2

4. Save the Snapshot file and that helps to restore the resource pool.

5. Enable the DRS and restore the resource pool using the snapshot file.P5
